In 2014, Hudbay’s measured approach – careful planning, calculated decisions and straight hard work – and the strong foundation of the 777 mine, delivered major achievements.

Constancia

Initial production in Peru with close to 21 million hours worked and only one lost time accident in 2014

Reed

A testament to sustainable development built inside a provincial park

Lalor

Grand opening and another 15 years or more of mining in the region

2010

Embarked on a five-year plan aimed at building a portfolio of long-life, low-cost mines that generate strong returns and lasting benefits

2011

Acquired the Constancia copper project in Peru and began building bridges with local communities

2012

Committed to developing the Constancia mine, a transformational event in the Company’s history

2013

Commenced production at the high-grade Reed copper mine

Acquired the Rosemont copper project in Arizona in preparation for Hudbay’s next growth phase
